HILL PARTNERS, INC. ANNOUNCES THE SALE OF SPECIALTY SHOPS SOUTHPARK, CHARLOTTE’S ICONIC OPEN-AIR BOUTIQUE DESTINATION

Charlotte, NC – July 2026 – Hill Partners, Inc. today announced the sale of Specialty Shops SouthPark, its upscale open-air shopping center that has served as one of Charlotte’s most distinctive boutique retail destinations for nearly five decades.

Hill Partners acquired Specialty Shops SouthPark in 2014 and through more than a decade of ownership, executed a comprehensive strategic plan that elevated the center’s market position and curated a best-in-class tenant mix. Through thoughtful placemaking, targeted leasing, and a commitment to enhancing the guest experience, Hill Partners successfully recruited numerous first-to-market retailers and concepts that reshaped the property’s identity and broadened its regional appeal.

Originally built in 1979, Specialty Shops SouthPark occupies a premier location directly across from SouthPark Mall and is surrounded by Charlotte’s most prestigious neighborhoods, including Myers Park, Barclay Downs, Quail Hollow, and Foxcroft. Today, the center features a curated blend of more than a dozen exclusive boutiques, national brands, lifestyle retailers, and acclaimed restaurants, all set within a beautifully landscaped open-air environment in the heart of SouthPark.

“Specialty Shops SouthPark has been an extraordinary project—one defined by vision, collaboration, and a commitment to creating a truly unique experience for the Charlotte community,” said Robert H. Spratt, Jr., President of Hill Partners, Inc. “We are incredibly proud of the transformation achieved over our longterm ownership, the exceptional tenant mix we assembled, and the strong consumer loyalty that continues to define the property. It is well-positioned for continued success in its next chapter.”

Retailers and concepts introduced by Hill Partners include the recently announced Serena & Lily and Faced, The Facial Studio; Ann & Sid Mashburn, Anthony Vince’ Nail Spa, Drybar, LAKE, Renaissance Patisserie, Scout & Molly’s Boutique, Studio Fire, and Thrive Carolinas—each contributing to the center’s reputation as a one-of-a-kind destination for boutique shopping, luxury services, and first-class dining.

Hill Partners also expressed appreciation for the partners who played a vital role in the property’s evolution. “We are deeply grateful for the support and collaboration of our original partner, Guggenheim / Everwest, and our more recent partner, Nuveen, whose involvement has been instrumental in advancing the center’s long-term vision,” the company noted. “Their commitment, along with the dedication of our tenants, service providers, the Hill Partners’ team, and the loyal SouthPark consumer, has shaped Specialty Shops SouthPark into the thriving destination it is today.”

As the property transitions to new ownership, Hill Partners remains confident in its continued growth trajectory and its ability to serve the Charlotte market with exceptional retail, dining, and lifestyle offerings for many years to come.
